Clianthus puniceus
A flowering evergreen shrub/legume, native to a northern island of New Zealand.
This plant species is listed as endangered and is very rare in the wild. Seeds and cultivated varieties are available, but rare and we found these seeds in the UK.

“In a sheltered garden or large pot this absolutely magnificent shrub displays hanging groups of very large curved flowers in the most attractive shades of pink. There are red and white forms also, but this is by far the rarest and the best! Very few good seeds are ever collected.”
All heart shaped seeds have sprouted!
Hopefully these plants will be ready soon. Not sure how long it takes for them to be of viable size.
